Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run your account and the game:

• Account information— when you sign up (including via “Sign in with Google”), our authentication provider gives us your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique account identifier. You may also set a username and, optionally, a phone number.
• Profile & game data — your display name, avatar, in-game virtual wallet (tokens, VIP status, and cosmetic items you own), your chosen preferences (such as board theme), and your play statistics (games played, wins, in-game earnings and leaderboard rank).
• Gameplay activity — the game rooms you create or join, the moves you make, game outcomes, and internal audit logs. We keep these to run live games, let you rejoin after a disconnect, and resolve disputes.
• Purchase records — when you buy virtual items, our payment processor handles the transaction and returns a receipt. We store the payment/order reference, the item purchased, the amount, and the time. We never receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
• Technical data — your IP address and connection metadata (needed for the real-time game connection), basic device/browser information, and server logs. We use these for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.

• Create and secure your account and sign you in.
• Run real-time multiplayer games, matchmaking, and reconnection.
• Process purchases of virtual items and keep a record of them.
• Maintain leaderboards, statistics, and your inventory.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, cheating, and abuse.
• Provide support and respond to your requests.
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We share the minimum necessary data with trusted processors who help us operate. Each is bound to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us:

• Clerk — account creation, authentication, and session management.
• Google— if you choose “Sign in with Google”, Google shares your basic profile (name, email, picture) with us based on your consent. Google’s use of your data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Razorpay — payment processing. Your payment details are handled by Razorpay under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS obligations.
• Microsoft Azure — cloud hosting and infrastructure (servers located in India).
• MongoDB Atlas — encrypted database backups.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our players and service.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (set by our authentication provider) and browser local storage to remember preferences such as your selected theme and sound settings. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your data is stored and processed on infrastructure hosted in India. All traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We restrict access to personal data, keep application secrets in a managed key vault, and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Payment card data never touches our servers.

We keep your account and profile data while your account is active. Game logs and snapshots are retained for as long as needed to operate the game and resolve disputes, and purchase records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data unless we are required to keep certain records by law.

Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Withdraw consent you previously gave (for example, Google sign-in).
• Raise a grievance about how we handle your data.

Vyaparkhel is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Players under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian before making any purchase. If you believe a child has provided us data without consent, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy as the game evolves or the law changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continuing to use Vyaparkhel after an update means you accept the revised policy.
